Procedures to root Galaxy S3:
1. Download
Odin and Rooting
Package.
Install Odin into your windows PC and extract the rooting package into a folder
onto your desktop.
2. Open
Odin and reboot your device so as to enter it in Download Mode. To do so, when
your phone is OFF, press and hold the Volume Down + Home + Power buttons
together until the screen turns ON.
3. Now,
connect your phone to the PC via original USB cable i.e. the cable that came
with it.
4. On
successful connection of your phone to the PC the ID: COM section in Odin will
turn “Yellow” and you’ll get and “Added!” message in it, indicating that your
device has been recognized.
5. Now,
click on “PDA” button and then choose the “CF-Root-SGS3-v6.4.tar” file from the
PC you’ve downloaded and extracted earlier.
6. Next,
click on “Start” button to begin the flashing process.
7. As
soon as the flashing process has completed, your device will reboot
automatically and you’ll get a “PASS” message in Odin.
8. Safely
unplug your device from the PC.
Now you have successfully rooted your Samsung Galaxy S3.
